President Bola Tinubu and the leaders of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) are allegedly in a panic ahead of the general elections in 2027, according to former Transportation Minister Rotimi Amaechi.
Speaking to supporters in Rivers State, African Democratic Congress (ADC) chieftain Amaechi asserted that the President and other prominent APC officials were not as popular as they claimed.
Additionally, he charged that the ruling party was trying to scare Nigerian voters before the election.
“I believed that those individuals you were inquiring about were well-liked, as stated by the President.
“Everything they are doing is a panic attack because they are afraid. If you’re not afraid, let’s meet on the field and let everyone select who they want.
They are attempting to impose politicians and other individuals on the populace. You now have the chance to select the ideal individual because to ADC,” Amaechi stated.
The former governor of Rivers State discussed the steps the ADC intends to take to avoid voter apathy in the 2027 elections and stated that the coalition party would mostly rely on grassroots mobilization.
“What are our countermeasures to intimidation? They would depend on mobilization; people need to be mobilized.”
They are acting in this way because they desire apathy. They don’t want you to cast a ballot because they know you won’t support the APC.
“You’ll wonder yourself, ‘What have they done?’ even if you want to vote for APC. Was it a coastal raid from Lagos-Calabar? The coastal road from Lagos to Calabar is located where?
He said, “I was minister for transportation, and I can demonstrate what I have done.”
Amaechi went on to outline some of his accomplishments while serving as Minister of Transportation, emphasizing that Nigerians of all political persuasions and geographical locations benefited from the late Muhammadu Buhari’s government.
Amaechi went on, “Let this government show one thing they have done, either in the North or the South, aside from stealing money.”
