The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Ekiti State, Wole Oluyede, arrived at Polling Unit 6, Osagburu Hall, Ward 3, Ikere-Ekiti to participate in the election on Saturday.

The polling centre also said that some senior citizens came early for accreditation.

Among the elderly voters was 86-year-old Madam Abiodun Ajewole who was seen waiting to be accredited before casting her vote.

Other elderly voters were also sighted at Osagburu Hall as electoral officials continued the exercise.

Voting Starts At Oyebanji’s Unit
In a related development, residents of Ikogosi in Ekiti West Local Government Area turned out early at the polling unit of the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Governor Biodun Oyebanji.

At Polling Unit 003 in Ward 6, located in front of the Oyebanji family compound in Okelele, voters checked their names on the register before voting commenced.

Officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) arrived the unit and briefed voters before accreditation and voting began around 8:30 am.

Aduke, who gave only her first name, said she had checked her name on the register.

My name is on the register, and I am ready to vote. I have checked my name. “I hope others will come out and do,” she said.
