According to the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in Niger State, the fifty students who were abducted from St. Mary’s Private Catholic Primary and Secondary Schools in Papiri, Agwara LGA, have managed to free themselves from their captors.
The Niger State CAN chairman and Catholic Bishop of Kontagora Diocese, Bulus Dauwa Yohanna, confirmed in a statement released on Sunday that the children had “quietly reunited with their families” after regaining their freedom between Friday and Saturday.
