Numerous terrorists have been neutralized by the Nigerian Air Force’s (NAF) airstrikes in Nigeria’s northwest and northeast.
In a statement, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, Director of Public Relations and Information, Headquarters, Nigerian Air Force, noted that an intelligent-driven air interdiction was responsible for the success.
The statement claims that on November 27, 2025, NAF aircraft carried out two coordinated strikes in Katsina State. The first strike, which began at around 06:30, targeted the fortified base of a notorious terrorist kingpin connected to violent attacks, livestock rustling, and serial kidnappings in Kankara, Faskari, and Malumfashi LGAs.
“The aircraft destroyed the camp with precision munitions under the guidance of real-time Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR), while persistent ISR enabled follow-on engagements as surviving fighters attempted to flee,” he stated.
It states that at around 1755 hours, a second strike struck another significant terrorist enclave in Danfako, Faskari LGA, destroying logistics hubs, buildings, equipment, and operational infrastructure. At the same time, several terrorists were neutralized, further weakening their networks and depriving them of safe havens throughout the North-West.
A coordinated multi-front ISWAP/Boko Haram attack on Chibok was repelled by ground troops of the 28 Task Force Brigade, Sector 4 OPERATION HADIN KAI (OPHK) in Borno State. Additionally, NAF aircraft carried out four major strikes against regrouping insurgents along their escape route, using real-time intelligence from ground forces, resulting in significant casualties.
The statement claims that the operations demonstrate the NAF’s steadfast dedication to precision, surgical engagements.
According to the statement, this is intended to neutralize threats, restore security, and protect residents’ lives and property while maintaining the commitment to work with ground forces and other security agencies to bring peace back to every region of the nation.
