We will not desert members of the opposition after defeating them, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Deputy Governorship Candidate in Ogun State, Yemi Sowunmi-Kolapo, has said.
Kolapo was said to have spoken at the party’s Ijemo Zone meeting in Ward 5, Abeokuta South over the weekend.
“The party will not allow politics to break the bond of sons and daughters in Ogun State and I urge the opposition not to fear defeat,” she said.
Kolapo said it is not surprising opposition members are afraid, adding that politics in Ogun State have gone beyond personal interests that have brought hardship to residents.

‘We want to assure our brothers and sisters in the opposition who know the truth but are running helter-skelter to protect their ‘soup pots’ that they will still be able to eat after we must have thrashed them at the polls.
“We will not allow politics to break the bond of true sons and daughters of Ogun State. But we will never leave them in the dust like the strangers they are selling now because of their pockets when push comes to shove. “So they will,” she said.
Kolapo, who is the Iya Sunnah of Egbaland, said her relationship with the people of Egbaland predates her involvement in politics, adding that their welfare remains a priority.
She called on the people to vote for PDP candidates for the National Assembly and the Ogun State House of Assembly in the 2027 elections.
