Ambassadorial Nominees’ Past Comments on Tinubu Leave Me Staggered — Moghalu

Kingsley Moghalu, a former deputy governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), stated on Thursday that he was “chilled” by comments made in the past by certain ambassadorial applicants against President Bola Tinubu.

Moghalu questioned why these applicants for ambassadors, who had disparaged Tinubu, now took crumbs.

“I am chilled to the bones when I see what some of today’s @officialABAT ambassadorial nominees have written and said about him in the past,” Moghalu wrote in a post on X. I don’t support or oppose President Tinubu politically.

It’s acceptable to have political and even philosophical disagreements with others, even if you later alter your view.

However, it is astounding how severe, personally cruel, and derogatory language these people have used to characterize a human being, only to subsequently turn around and receive crumbs from the victim of the abuse.

“For heaven’s sake, stay in your lane if you feel so deeply about someone, not simply about problems.

“I believe it tells far more about the speaker or writer than about the person talked of or written about, without elevating anyone to sainthood, to go to such extremities simply because of transient political resistance (or “crumbflakes” dropping at the moment) and then eat your own vomit! If someone claims that Nigeria is a “zoo,” we will respond that their terminology is abusive. My two penny.
