New nominations for non-career ambassador appointments have been announced by President Bola Tinubu.
Ibok-Ete Ekwe Ibas, the former naval chief and immediate former sole administrator of Rivers State, is among those on the list, according to a statement released by the State House on Thursday.
Other notable figures include former senator Ita Enang, former first lady of Imo state Chioma Ohakim, and former interior minister and army staff chief Abdulrahman Dambazau.
Additionally, the President proposed Fatima Ajimobi, Senator Jimoh Ibrahim, and Senator Nora Daduut as non-career ambassadors.
According to reports, the list raises President Tinubu’s total number of nominees for ambassadorship to 68.
