Popular Nollywood actor Timini Egbuson has explained why he does not consider himself a womaniser, saying his demanding acting career leaves him with limited time to pursue several romantic relationships.
The actor made the clarification while speaking on the Culture League podcast, where he addressed assumptions about his love life and described the pressures of working in Nigeria’s film industry.
Timini said many people believe he is constantly involved with women, but he insisted that this perception does not reflect his everyday reality.
He explained that Nollywood has occupied much of his time over the last two to three years, making it difficult to maintain an active dating life alongside his professional responsibilities.
According to him, his typical workday can involve spending several hours on set before returning home late at night, exhausted from filming.
“A lot of people assume that I’m a womaniser, right? But I’m not,” he said, adding that his career has left little room for the kind of lifestyle people imagine he leads.
Timini also questioned how some of his friends manage to maintain relationships with four or five women while handling their own responsibilities.
He said he often wonders how they find enough time for such arrangements, considering the long hours involved in movie production.

The actor explained that he does not have the energy or capacity to pursue multiple partners after a full day of work. He therefore described himself as less socially active than his public image might suggest.
Although he acknowledged that his work sometimes leaves him alone, Timini said he enjoys his career and does not necessarily resent the demands it places on his life.
He disclosed that he sometimes takes a shot of Martell to unwind before going to sleep alone, highlighting a more private side of his life that fans may not expect.
The actor further noted that getting older can affect dating opportunities, even when a person continues to look youthful.
According to him, the pool of potential partners can become smaller over time as social circumstances change.
Timini’s remarks provide insight into the challenges of balancing celebrity life, demanding work schedules and personal relationships, while addressing what he described as misconceptions about his romantic lifestyle.
