The President, accompanied by his wife, First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu, was received on arrival at kaduna Airport at 1:59pm, on Saturday, was received by Vice President Kashim Shettima and Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani.

Governors, Ministers, Senators, other APC chieftains, elected officials and supporters from different parts of the country converged on the Kaduna Township Stadium for the rally, which marks the formal launch of the party’s campaign for Tinubu’s re-election.

The Kaduna event offers President Tinubu and the APC leadership an opportunity to outline the administration’s achievements, reaffirm its development priorities, and seek renewed public support for the President’s second-term ambition.

The event is also expected to feature the presentation of the party’s Renewed Hope 2.0 agenda, outlining its priorities as the APC begins its campaign activities ahead of the 2027 polls.

It comes amid heightened political activities ahead of the January 16, 2027 presidential election, with the ruling party seeking to consolidate its support across the North-West and other parts of the country.

Following the flag-off, the APC will extend its presidential campaign to other states across the federation in the coming weeks as President Tinubu seeks to secure a fresh four-year mandate in the 2027 general elections.

The campaign launch also coincided with President Tinubu’s inauguration of an 81-kilometre section of the Abuja–Kaduna highway, constructed with reinforced concrete pavement and street lighting.

The project forms part of the Nigerian Government’s infrastructure development programme in the North-West, where the administration is targeting the construction and rehabilitation of 4,084 kilometres of roads.
