Kola Ologbondiyan Leaves PDP, Attributes Decision to Personal Issues

Kola Ologbondiyan, the former National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has formally resigned from the organization, claiming personal reasons.

Ologbondiyan shared a letter dated December 5, 2025, to the Chairman of Okekoko Ward (09), Kabba/Bunu Local Government, Kogi State, in a statement released on Saturday on 𝕏. In the letter, he formally informed the party of his desire to depart.

In the letter marked “Notification of Membership Withdrawal,” Ologbondiyan stated that he had decided it was time to leave the PDP after giving it some thought.

“It is now necessary to draw your attention to the fact that I have reviewed my involvement in the PDP and have determined that I must leave for personal reasons,” he said.

“I have therefore come to a decision to formally withdraw my membership of the PDP, henceforth,” he said, emphasizing that his decision to leave the party was final.

Ologbondiyan thanked the party’s leadership for providing him with the chance to serve Nigeria and the party despite his resignation. He expressed gratitude to the PDP leadership for their confidence in him and the responsibilities they gave him.

In the letter, he stated, “Let me begin by thanking you, as well as other levels of leadership in the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), for the opportunities provided for me to serve the party and our fatherland, Nigeria.”
