In Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State, Deacon Julius Olufemi Oke, a former Senior Deputy Registrar and Head of WAEC International Office, Lagos, has been laid to rest.

Oke passed away on November 20 of this year, according to reports.

Oke left WAEC last year.

Mother Earth received the deceased’s remains on Thursday in Ibadan.

In front of loved ones, colleagues, and coworkers, he was buried amid weeping.

Pastor Kehinde Ajibola, the presiding pastor of Christ Life Church International, Covenant Cathedral, Ibadan, said that the deceased was a person who assisted many people.

During his lecture titled “The next minute after death,” Ajibola reassured the deceased’s close friends and family that they should not be afraid.

He claimed that due of the deceased’s good deeds on earth and his own contact with the Lord as a born-again Christian, he had gone to rest with God.

Ajibola, who based his sermon on Second Corinthians 5–10, also said that the deceased was a guy who, during his life, was close to both his family and the church.

However, he revealed that his absence will be felt because he left a gap that might not be immediately filled at home or at the church.

“The word of God has given us sufficient information that whoever dies in Christ is alive, so we are always confident that he who believes in Christ shall never die, and that faith is the oxygen of God’s life,” he declared.

In her memorial, the deceased’s wife, Mrs. Oluwatoyin Oke, characterized her husband as a devoted and kind father to his kids and the entire family.

“My baby boy, I am glad you made enormous impact on your generation and your legacy is eternal,” she remarked. You are undoubtedly in the glory alongside your Creator.

“Femi, your love was a priceless gift of unmatched value; it was my safe haven. I will always be grateful to God for granting me the honor of being your wife, even if there aren’t enough words to express the profound influence you had on me as an invaluable husband.
