The Nigerian Air Force C-130 aircraft was forced to land in Bobo-Dioulasso on Monday, and the Federal Government has stated that it is looking into why it was detained in Burkina Faso.
The aircraft is said to have entered the nation’s airspace.
Kimiebi Ebienfa, a spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stated that the administration is keeping an eye on the issue.
Reporters were informed by Ebienfa that “we are monitoring the situation and will issue a statement when we receive adequate information.”
Eleven people—nine soldiers and two crew members—were on the Nigerian Air Force plane. While in Burkinabe airspace, they had to make an emergency landing.
The lack of authorization to fly over Burkina Faso territory for this military gadget was “highlighted” in a statement released by Burkinabe officials.
