According to Uchechi, the wife of Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), her husband is the greatest freedom warrior in Africa rather than a terrorist.
Kanu bemoaned that her husband is battling forces more sinister than those Nelson Mandela encountered in South Africa in a post on 𝕏.
She emphasized that the agitator had the support of Igbo youths and students.
“The Igbo students and youths are in solidarity with Mazi #NnamdiKanu. #NnamdiKanu is not a terrorist,” she said.
“He is the world’s greatest African freedom fighter and the leader of millions of Biafrans who are dispersed throughout the world and who support #IPOB.”
Although the IPOB commander is not flawless, Uchechi pointed out that nobody is.
Many are prepared to give their lives to defend him because he loves his people and they love him.
And you know what, despite apartheid’s harshness, Nelson Mandela battled with those who were receptive to reason. But Mazi #NnamdiKanu battles far darker forces in the arena,” she continued.
Kanu was found guilty by Justice James Omotosho of an Abuja Federal High Court and is presently serving a life sentence in Sokoto Custodial Center.
Due to his advocacy for the establishment of the independent state of Biafra, he was sentenced on terrorism-related charges.
