Bigiano, a Nigerian singer, has asserted that he composed the popular song Dami Duro for Davido, a fellow musician, and that he was in charge of the song’s hook.

According to reports, the Shayo crooner made the assertion in a recent interview with content creator Akin Abolade, during which he discussed his career, his hiatus from music, and his role in one of Davido’s best early successes.

Bigiano claims that his contribution was crucial to the song’s popularity when it was released in 2011 and helped make Davido a household name.

“I wrote Davido’s Dami Duro.” In the interview, he stated, “I wrote the hook.”

Bigiano is not formally acknowledged as a co-writer of the song, despite the assertion.

One of Davido’s most iconic songs, Dami Duro catapulted the artist to stardom soon after it was released.

The song has solidified its place in Nigerian music history by being named one of the “greatest Afrobeats songs of all time” by a number of local and foreign music fans over the years.

Bigiano explained that his extended hiatus from the music industry was intentional and planned, seeing it as a necessary respite before a more significant return.

You may need to take a break in order to return. To make a big comeback to music, I took a break,” he remarked.

The singer insisted that he is still financially secure, rejecting rumors that his lack of attention was caused by financial difficulties.

Bigiano went on, “I can’t be broke.”

However, as at the time this article was filed, Davido had not publicly responded to Bigiano’s assertion that he co-wrote Dami Duro’s hook.

“Dami Duro” is still regarded as a significant turning point in Davido’s music career.
