A critical assessment of Nigeria’s Governance Paradox—leadership shortcomings, citizen responsibility, and systemic dysfunction in national failure—takes center stage on the well-liked monthly interview discourse, Boiling Point Arena, to kick off the new year 2026.

Rev. Father Mathew Kukah, the Catholic Bishop of Sokoto and one of Nigeria’s most moral leaders, is scheduled to lead the discussion on Sunday, January 11, 2026.

The brainstorming session, which starts at 8 p.m. and lasts for two hours, will be broadcast live on six partner radio stations in Lagos, Ogun, and Delta States via Zoom.

Dr. Ayo Arowojolu, a public relations strategist and media specialist, is the driving force behind Boiling Point Arena, which has a sizable online following and a broad listenership.

The keynote speaker and chair of the discussion will be Oba Prof. Saka Matemilola, the Olowu of Owu Kingdom, a frontline traditional ruler.

The title of this specific 39th edition is “Who Failed Nigeria and Who Will Fix it? A Critical Examination of Citizens, Leadership, and Systems as We Enter 2026 and Prepare for Another Election Year

It is anticipated that Bishop Kukah, a septuagenarian and critical voice on ethical governance, would reveal the different elements that have brought the nation to the brink of collapse in almost every area of the economy and politics.

As is to be expected, Kukah will address the problems of followership, leadership, and institutional collapse and map out a route from broken pledges to national rehabilitation.

Boiling Point Arena, a highly touted event, will air live on WASH 94.9FM, Sweet 107.1FM, Roots 97.1FM, Erimbe 94.7FM, Women Radio 91.7FM, and Kruzz 92.9FM in addition to NSTV on GoTV channel 316.

More than 300 professors, media professionals, technocrats, industrial executives, High Court justices, traditional rulers, senior security officials, and many others make up Boiling Point, a news and general interest group.
