Governor Siminalayi Fubara has been assured by former Rivers State Government Secretary Alabo Tammy Wenike Danagogo that he has his full support.

On Thursday, during the 2026 New Year’s celebration at the Port Harcourt government house, Danagogo made the promise.

For defecting to the All Progressives Congress (APC), he praised the governor.

He claimed that cooperation with the federal government would advance both the state and the country.

He characterized Fubara as a unifier and peacemaker who seeks peace despite opposition.

“We are all behind you, even if we don’t tell you individually,” he continued. We support you in your endeavor to align with the center and foster collaboration with the federal government and the ruling party.

“It will undoubtedly advance Rivers State and Nigeria.” You unite people and promote harmony. Have faith that God is in charge and on the throne, regardless of your level of authority.

“Governor Sim Fubara’s efforts to align Rivers State with the center have our full support.”

Fubara has advised his supporters to maintain composure in the face of the state’s recent political upheavals.

Speaking on Thursday at the government house in Port Harcourt’s New Year’s banquet, Governor Fubara claimed that dogs bark because they don’t comprehend what’s going on.

He claims that the trip would be easy and that everything would turn out well for him.

The governor reassured his supporters that all the necessary arrangements are in place to guarantee his election for a second term.

“Don’t let what’s going on disturb you,” he urged. In one of his quotations, Caesar stated that a dog only barks when it is unable to understand.

Does a dog in your home that knows you need to bark? Therefore, it’s possible that the dog is seeing something it doesn’t comprehend when it starts backing.

We don’t bark because we comprehend. We are aware of our destination and have made all the necessary arrangements to ensure a seamless voyage.

According to reports, Fubara and Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), are at odds over the latest statement.

Wike had previously stated that the 2027 election would remedy the leadership error in Rivers State.
