Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, a former governor of Sokoto State, has stated that former president Olusegun Obasanjo was crucial to the growth of democracy in Africa and Nigeria.

According to Tambuwal, Obasanjo’s unwavering dedication to democratic principles and nation-building continues to serve as a model for future generations.

He said this while thanking Obasanjo for attending and chairing his 60th birthday colloquium.

According to Tambuwal, Obasanjo is still seen by future generations as an elder statesman who is dedicated to upholding democratic principles and fostering national development.

“I must express my profound gratitude to the former President, His Excellency, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, GCFR, for not only gracing my 60th birthday colloquium with his presence but also for graciously serving as the Chairman of the occasion,” Tambuwal wrote on X.
