Segun Sowunmi, a leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), claims that Peter Obi, the previous presidential candidate of the Labour Party, is not a formidable opponent of President Bola Tinubu in the upcoming general elections of 2027.

This was said by Sowunmi on Thursday during an interview on Channels Television’s “Politics Today” show.

“Those in positions of power at the governor’s level in the Southeast were not very inspiring,” he stated. You must return and observe the folks who are currently seated there.

“A few of them are fulfilling their commitments and values. None of them can defeat Obi in that manner if they are motivational leaders. It’s more difficult than that.

“We started that movement because we thought we should be able to break through the glass ceiling so our brothers in the Southeast could finish it.

“Unfortunately, a lot of people pushed back because he was unable to control the excessive bigotry, anger, and quarrel.”
