Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi, the two past presidential contenders, have been characterized by African Democratic Congress (ADC) leader Fabiyi Oladimeji as the two princes inside the coalition party, both pursuing a shared objective.
According to reports, Oladimeji stated in an appearance on Arise Television’s “Prime Time” that since Peter Obi joined the ADC, there has been a persistent attack on Atiku, a member of the same opposition party, rather than unity of the party and coalition.
He claims that politics is about interests, but since Atiku and Peter Obi are members of the same coalition, there is no reason for their followers to disparage one another.
He declared, “Power, not poetry, governs Nigeria.” Furthermore, people who shout justice the loudest typically don’t get power. Those who know the dynamics are the ones who secure it.
In the ADC, there are two principalities. Peter Obi and Atiku Abubakar both have their own principality. Additionally, we have Rotimi Amaechi and Nasir El-Rufai.
We’ve witnessed this before. They’re all not brand-new. I would advise Nigerians to maintain their composure. The ADC is the vehicle that will be used to transport everyone, and something will come together.
David Mark, an accomplished individual, is currently in charge of overseeing and leading ADC. He cannot be deprived of it. And it’s a pretty clear vision.
Since politics is about interests, the followers of Atiku and Peter Obi who are raising their voices have the right to do so. And I’m glad Atiku bravely stated, “No, you don’t do this.”
“There is absolutely no justification for the “Obidients” and the “Atikulates” to attack one another because they are fighting for the same cause and are members of the same coalition.”
