Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, a former member of the State House of Assembly, has been suspended indefinitely, according to members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ward 01, Ibokun, Obokun Local Government Area of Osun State.

Oyintiloye was charged by the party with misconduct, allegedly embezzling ₦5.6 million.

In a letter dated Thursday, January 29, 2026, and delivered to Tajudeen Lawal, the party’s Osun State Chairman, the party declared its choice.

The letter states that “a meeting of ward executives, leaders, and members who reportedly deliberated on issues said to be affecting unity and cohesion within the ward” preceded the suspension.

The letter, which was signed by five leaders and eighteen ward executives, accused Oyintiloye of stealing ₦5.6 million in monies and an Executive Assistant (EA) position without permission.

According to the signatories, “the funds were originally allocated for ward leaders, alleging that Oyintiloye had already secured a personal EA slot through a third party while holding a federal appointment.”

Additionally, they said that the former legislator was “involved in activities capable of causing division within the ward, including the organization of parallel meetings.”

His “prolonged absence from ward meetings and political activities for over three years” was another charge made by the ward leaders.

The letter further claimed that although the ward benefited from multiple political appointments, no material or monetary contributions were made.

It noted, “In view of the foregoing and his consistent lack of engagement and contributions to ward affairs, it has become necessary to take decisive disciplinary action.”

“Hon. Bosun Oyintiloye is hereby suspended indefinitely from Ward One, Ibokun, and shall cease to represent the interests of the ward at any level,” the ward leaders stated.

They emphasized that their first concern was the APC’s unity and success ahead of next elections, but they also stated that they were open to party leaders’ intervention.
