Ajara Lasisi, also referred to as Aunty Ajara, was a little Nollywood actress who lost her fight with liver disease.
The movie diva was reportedly very sick, and her coworkers, including Wunmi Toriola, Foluke Daramola, Mama Nonetwork, and many more, had been asking the public for funds to help pay for her medical care.
Nollywood actor TeeMony revealed Aunty Ajara’s passing in an Instagram post on Thursday.
He thanked everyone who had loved the deceased and prayed for her during her difficult time.
“With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved actress, Aunty Ajara,” the post said. She fought a long and valiant struggle with illness before passing away overnight.
“Ajara was showered with love, prayers, and financial support from individuals all around the world during this trying time. We are incredibly appreciative of everyone who supported her with kindness, encouragement, prayers, and donations.
We respectfully request that family, friends, and the public cease transferring money to the previously shared account at this time, as it is no longer necessary.
“Her family, loved ones, and everyone else grieving this terrible loss are in our thoughts and prayers. I hope her soul finds eternal peace.
