The late former President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration was better for Nigerians than the present one, according to former Transportation Minister Rotimi Amaechi.
According to Amaechi, Nigerians’ quality of life has substantially declined under the current government in contrast to Buhari’s.
He made the comments during the current demonstration for electoral reform at Abuja’s National Assembly.
Nigerian youths turned out in force for the demonstration, which was dubbed “Occupy the National Assembly,” to voice their worries about what they see to be dangers to democratic accountability and fair elections.
Is life simpler now than it was in the APC? Amaechi asked. Life is more difficult now than it was under former President Buhari. even though we intended to eliminate the subsidy.
Demands for the real-time electronic transmission of election results, which have ignited public outrage since the Senate rejected the plan as part of continuing electoral reform efforts, were the driving force behind Amaechi’s participation in the demonstration.
