With Nigerians being driven to the brink due to alleged human rights violations, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has warned that a revolution may break out in the nation.
During a solidarity visit to the former governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-rufai, who battled with security personnel at the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport in Abuja on Thursday from Cairo, Egypt, Atiku spoke on Thursday night.
The former governor was recalled to have had his international passport confiscated by EFCC agents, who also attempted to arrest him at the airport.
Atiku stated during the visit that the way Nigerians at the airport opposed the detention must have taught the authorities a lesson.
Because it was individuals acting independently who resisted the arrest, he expressed his hope that they would take note of what they witnessed at the airport.
They fail to realize that people may revolt in this nation if their human rights are violated any longer.
“What transpired at the airport was totally inappropriate.”
