The governor of Kano State, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has stated that anyone who truly cares about the state’s citizens must support President Bola Tinubu’s Federal Government.
The statement was reportedly made by Governor Yusuf during a courtesy call on Monday by the Ward and Local Government Congress Committee, who insisted that Kano’s progress now required political alignment with the center.
According to Yusuf, Kano State benefited from uniting with the Federal Government, even as he defended his recent political stance and defection to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Since we have missed a lot, he stated, “Anyone who genuinely cares about the people of Kano should support the Federal Government.”
In addition to emphasizing that unification with the federal government will promote better development and access to federal financing, the governor implied that historical political conflicts may have cost the state some chances.
Additionally, Yusuf argued that Kano’s political class is more cohesive now than it has ever been in the state’s history.
He claims that since he and a number of other major figures defected to the APC, efforts to promote reconciliation have increased throughout the state.
Since joining APC, more people have come together. According to him, even split families are reconciling.
He characterized Kano’s present political climate as one characterized by a revived sense of collaboration and shared purpose.
For what he called a successful exercise throughout the state, the governor also praised the Ward and Local Government Congress Committee.
He gave the committee members credit for their efforts in making sure the ward and local government congresses ran well.
The Chief Press Secretary informed Governor Mustapha Muhammad of Kano State of the development in a statement.
Lantep Dabang, the chairman of the Ward/LGA Congress Committee, had earlier in his speech praised the governor for his “fair and compassionate leadership” during the party position sharing procedure.
He praised Yusuf’s strategy for internal party agreements, seeing him as a leader driven by ethics and fairness.
According to Dabang, Governor Abba Yusuf is a man of justice and integrity.
