According to Dele Momodu, a prominent member of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), President Bola Tinubu will stop at nothing to eradicate the opposition in Nigeria.
According to reports, Momodu urged detractors to cease attributing the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) problem to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar in a post on his 𝕏 Twitter.
The seasoned journalist said that Nigerians must band together outside of political parties to fight back and blamed Tinubu for some of the problems seen within opposition political parties.
“I do not understand the logic behind this conversation: the only reason Wike could not be suspended or expelled from PDP is his stranglehold on President Tinubu and the Judiciary,” he said.
Before the presidential primary, Obi left the PDP. How is it possible for any credible analyst to hold Atiku responsible for the PDP’s issues?
“Wike’s group controlled the PDP’s choice to throw its Primary wide open, and Wike lost. How was it Atiku’s fault once more?
“How is it Atiku’s responsibility that Wike lost his bid to be Atiku’s running mate and then decided to back Tinubu?
Was it certain that Wike, Atiku, or Obi would have defeated Tinubu on the PDP platform?
“Everyone has the right to pursue their own ambitions under the Nigerian Constitution, so why are we obsessed with attempting to stifle Atiku when he has never prevented others from doing the same?
Did Atiku disperse the NNPP and Labor Parties? Why do people act as though they are unaware that Nigeria is ruled by a despotic regime that has access to an unprecedented war chest and other resources?
“If Nigerians do not band together across parties to fight back, it should be clear by now that Tinubu does not want any opposition and will do everything in his power to eradicate and obliterate opposition.”
