Bisola Aiyeola, an actress and reality celebrity from Nigeria, has talked about her early psychological difficulties as a single mother.

The movie star revealed in an open interview with Tope Olowoniyan that she was traumatized upon learning that she will have an unmarried child because her mother was also a single mother.

Aiyeola recalls being embarrassed and afraid that the tendency would spread to her own daughter as well.

“I was afraid and embarrassed about getting pregnant and having an unwed child. Being engaged at the time gave me the impression that I would marry, but we never did.

She recalled, “It was really embarrassing because my mother was a single mother and I am going to become one. I was afraid my child might also have the same fate.”

The actress claimed that her family’s financial situation at the time made the idea of having a child intolerable for her. She also mentioned that she found it difficult to breastfeed her daughter once she was born since she couldn’t realize it was her reality at the time.

The 40-year-old said that despite the circumstances surrounding her birth, she eventually came to accept her fate and love her daughter more.

In retrospect, she expressed gratitude for having her daughter and for all the things she had learned.
