A terrible car accident on the Damaturu–Maiduguri route in Yobe State claimed the lives of five members of the same family.
According to reports, citizens of Potiskum Local Government Area were involved in the Wednesday incident, which has left the town in grief.
Dahiru Musa Talba, a family member of the victims, confirmed the news in a Facebook post, revealing that three family members suffered varied degrees of injury and five family members perished in the collision.
He claims that the wounded victims were taken to Damaturu’s General Hospital, where they are presently being treated.
Talba expressed profound sadness and called the event “devastating.”
“We are both lillahi and ilayhi raji’un.” He wrote, “My mom passed away.
He also mentioned that there was a lot of traffic on the main route where the collision happened.
“The incident happened on their way coming from Maiduguri to Potiskum after a condolence visit for their loved ones,” stated Suraj Muh’d Jaji Guyik, a family friend who also responded to the incident. The YSSH A/E treatment center is where they are being transported. Thanks to the help of YSSH management and the general public, we had all the critical medical supplies we required. We value everyone’s efforts, particularly CMD Dr. Usman Abba Geidam’s quick response even though he was overseas performing Umrah.
