The National Convention of the Peoples Democratic Party, or PDP, will show Nigerians and the world community that the party is still alive and will recover, according to Federal Capital Territory Minister Nyesom Wike.

After hosting party stakeholders in Abuja prior to the exercise, Wike made this statement while inspecting the convention venue.

According to reports, the party’s national convention would draw over 2,000 delegates from all 36 states to the Velodrome at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja.

The minister urged delegates to uphold peace and order prior to, during, and following the event, assuring them that all required arrangements have been made for a successful conference.

The former governor of Rivers State also emphasized the significance of cooperation and discipline in guaranteeing a smooth procedure.

“In my opinion, this is a well-done job; you can see that we are not overdecorating; this is what is known as proper arrangement. I have no doubt that Nigerians will be pleased with what they see; it will serve as evidence that the PDP has actually returned.

“I’m happy that everyone involved has put in their efforts and commitment to see that the convention becomes a reality, and this well-organized convention will give them the impression that we are prepared for the future,” he stated.
