Alex Iwobi, a midfielder for the Super Eagles, has apologized and acknowledged that he was given a late red card during Nigeria’s 2-2 friendly tie with Jordan on March 31.

During the match in Turkey, Iwobi reacted violently to Amer Jamous holding him back, which led to his dismissal.

In an interview with the Alexander Yaa Digg podcast, the former midfielder for Arsenal took responsibility for the event.

“I must take responsibility for my actions and offer my apologies to all of my Nigerian colleagues, employees, and supporters of Nigeria. I was sent off because my behavior was insufficient,” Iwobi said.

“However, I’ll take this lesson to heart and keep going.” We will focus on the positives since we didn’t lose and we ended up in a tie.

The Fulham player went on, “I want to apologize for the mistake.”

Despite the dismissal, Iwobi also emphasized the positive aspects of the international break, highlighting two new defenders who made an impressive debut for the Nigerian Super Eagles.

Nigeria’s 2-1 friendly victory over Iran in Antalya included appearances by Emmanuel Fernandez and Chibuike Nwaiwu in the second half.

Moses Simon and Akor Adams’ goals gave coach Eric Chelle’s team the victory.

Iwobi remarked after the game, “Nice to get the win.” Iran has a strong team, so congratulations.

“We got the two goals we needed, so congratulations.” Two center backs who made their debuts in the second half deserve special recognition.

“They did solid, they did good. It was an excellent performance. We feel more confident because we prevailed.
