Sheikh Ahmad Gumi, a well-known and controversial Islamic cleric from Nigeria, has stated that Iran’s Islamic Republic system, not its people, is the target of the ongoing hostilities.

According to reports, Gumi revealed this in a Facebook post on Tuesday, sharing his thoughts on the nation’s geopolitical tension.

The cleric argues that the crisis should not be seen as a direct assault on Iranians.

He wrote, “They are not fighting the Iranian people, but the Islamic Republic.”

Gumi also voiced optimism regarding Persians’ future contributions to Islam, pointing out that they would play a crucial role in upholding the religion.

“The Persians will fly the Islamic flag, which stands for defiance of evil, at the end of time.” The end of evil is near, so don’t be sad,” he continued.

The priest further warned people not to make fun of Allah’s name, emphasizing that God is the ultimate authority.

Regarding making fun of Allah’s name. Gumi said, “Allah the Almighty is already in control.

Gumi’s remarks coincide with escalating hostilities with Iran after US President Donald Trump issued a warning earlier.

The message was delivered by Trump via his Truth Social platform, which increased worries about the situation around the world.
