Boluwatife Balogun, better known by his stage name Champz, the first son of Nigerian musician Wizkid, has started his first musical endeavor.

According to reports, the 14-year-old singer made his debut in the music business with the publication of a five-track EP called Champion’s Arrival.

Less than five hours after its release, the EP shot to the top on Apple Music Nigeria, becoming Champz the youngest African artist to accomplish this feat.

Additionally, it made appearances in 16 different nations’ music charts and peaked at number 71 on the UK Apple Music Top Albums chart.

Champz’s project focuses solely on his own voice and inventiveness, with no guest features.

He considers his early heartbreaks and his aspirations for the future, including one day offering love to his children, in the song Superstar.

Champz maintained that the lyrics are wholly original, despite detractors calling him a “nepo baby.”

The teenage musician shared on social media that his debut EP is accessible on all streaming services.

Wizkid said, “We love it man, he’s my kid you know!” in response to his son’s accomplishment.

Boluwatife is the first son of Shola Ogudu and Wizkid, two legendary Nigerian musicians.

He started his own children’s clothing brand, Czar & Czarina, at the age of seven. Later, he entered the music industry.
