Jennifer Odonwodo, the wife of late Nollywood actor JohnPaul Odonwodo, who was known as Junior Pope, has talked about the terrible moment she found out he had died.
Jennifer wrote on her Instagram page on Friday that the call was “the most devastating call” of her life and that she thought it was a joke.
Jennifer said that when she got to the scene of the event, she was trying to figure out what was going on when a black Hilux drove by with her husband dead inside.
Jennifer said that the incident affected her so deeply that she had to go to the hospital because her blood pressure rose so much.
She wrote, “Two years ago today, at about 3:15 p.m., while I was getting ready for a photo shoot, I got the worst call of my life.” The boat that JP was on, Awele, just flipped over. My hands started shaking right away, but I held onto the fact that it was a joke…
“I was driven to the scene and saw the huge crowd. Some people asked why I was there.”I was still trying to figure out what was going on when a black Hilux drove by with my husband dead in the trunk. He was wearing the same red shorts he had on when he left the house at 10 a.m. that morning.I yelled JESUSSSSS, and I’m sure Heaven heard it echo. It was a lot that night. When he was finally pronounced dead, the doctor checked my blood pressure and it was over 210, for some reason.I was let in right away.
