2027: APC Speaks On Extending Time For Sale Of Forms

The All Progressives Congress (APC), has announced that the National Working Committee (NWC) will determine if there will be a need to extend the approved period for the sales of expression of interest and nomination forms to aspirants in the 2027 general elections.

The APC National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, disclosed this while briefing journalists on Wednesday in Abuja.

He however said that for now the party is working within the approved timelines in line with the schedule of the sales activities and time earlier released.

‘The party’s National Working Committee (NWC) will take a decision at its meeting if there is room for extension.

“There is a timeline for activities and if there will be any extension we will follow due process.

“There is no extension for the sales of the forms at this time,” he said.

Yilwatda said there was no problem with the sale of forms, adding that all was going well.

He said the APC would give all aspirant a level playing ground.

“The APC remains one of the most democratic parties in the country, which gives level playing ground to all its members.

“The democracy we have in Nigeria is such that somebody has even picked a form to contest for the presidency.

“The number of persons coming to contest in our party shows that it is the most acceptable in Nigeria.

“There is no challenge in the sale of forms at the moment as the banks were doing the needful and party staff were overseeing the clearance.

“The department responsible for receipts is up to its duties and is monitoring the social media to see if people are complaining,” he said.
