Former Edo State Governor, Prof Oserheimen Osunbor has accused the Federal Government led by the All Progressive Congress, APC, of doing everything to destroy opposition political parties in Nigeria.
Osunbor made the allegation on Friday when he appeared as a guest on the programme, ‘Politics Today’ of Channels Television.
He was reacting to the activities of the APC against the opposition political parties in the country.
The Professor of Law also had a dig at Chief of Staff to President Bola Tinubu, Femi Gbajabiamila over his recent statement.
The Speaker, House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, was reportedly told to remain in the African Democratic Congress, ADC, and destroy it by a member of the House of Representatives, Leke Ajebade.
Airing his own opinion, the ex-governor said, “This government is doing everything within its power and beyond its power to destroy opposition political parties.
“Independence of the legislature and independence of the judiciary are no longer there in Nigeria.
“Recently, the social media was awash with a viral video of the Chief of Staff to Mr President telling a Reps member to stay in the ADC, fight them and scatter them.
