The father of BBNaija Season 8 champion Ilebaye Odiniya, Hon. Godson Odiniya, has revealed the cause of his daughter’s argument with him.
In an audio clip that journalist Jeremiah Promise Enemona Ocheme posted on social media on Sunday, Odiniya revealed that he asked his daughter for financial support before a scheduled medical trip to Dubai, but she turned him down.
He claimed that because the anticipated funds had not yet arrived, he had asked her to lend him money temporarily, but she had allegedly refused.
“The last one that I was unhappy about was when I was supposed to go to Dubai for a medical check-up,” he stated. “I’m lacking resources, please borrow me a certain amount of money, the money I’m expecting hasn’t come,” I said my daughter. My daughter informed me that she has no money.
“Come see how my daughter was spraying bundles of money at one of her coworkers’ weddings, which they call Cross, a week before that.”
“That is not the issue,” he continued. My daughter’s support for her coworkers will make me happy, but what about your father? Is there a problem if you assist your father?
The development reportedly came after Odiniya was arrested for allegedly assaulting his daughter at their home in Royal Anchor Estate, Wuye, Abuja.
On Saturday, the incident gained a lot of attention as a widely shared video of Ilebaye crying and clearly swollen during the altercation appeared online.
