The lmo State chapter of African Democratic Congress, ADC, stated it is structurally intact, ideologically focused and remains firmly under capable leadership.
This was contained in a communique issued on Tuesday by its Publicity Secretary, Chief Macdonald Amadi after the party’s state Executive committee meeting held at Owerri, the state capital.
According to the statement, the State Executive Committee held the meeting to review the current state of the Party, to strengthen internal cohesion and to consolidate strategy ahead of the 2027 general elections.
In a statement, it said the meeting came against the backdrop of recent political realignments and that the Committee used the opportunity to reaffirm the party’s stability, direction and commitment to disciplined and issue-based politics.
Further it said: “Any insinuation of fragmentation does not reflect the reality on ground.
“To maintain this momentum, the Committee resolves to step up grassroots mobilization in all the 27 Local Government Areas of the state.
“This ongoing interaction will strengthen the membership base, increase civic involvement, and guarantee the party enters the upcoming primaries and general elections with unparalleled organizational power.
“The Committee also reposes immense confidence in the leadership of His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha, former Governor of Imo State and Hon. Engr. Gerald Irona, former Deputy Governor.
“Their commitment, experience and stabilizing influence have been pivotal in keeping the Party united and focused during this period.
“In the same vein, the Committee pledges unalloyed loyalty to the National leadership of the ADC under the distinguished chairmanship of Senator David Mark.
“The Chapter is in step with the vision of the National Working Committee and will work together to position the Party for a decisive victory in 2027.
“Above all, the Committee reiterates its steadfast commitment to a united Nigeria governed by the principles of justice, competence and inclusive development.
The African Democratic Congress remains the most credible platform to deliver the renewal that Nigerians deserve.
“The ADC in Imo State is united, resolute and purpose-driven. “All members are urged to stay strong, resist distractions and recommit to building a Party that will restore confidence in governance and deliver tangible progress to the people.”
