Senator Gbenga Daniel representing Ogun East senatorial district at the National Assembly, has said that whatever Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun is enjoying now is his sweat.
It was learnt that Daniels made the statement while on TVC News Beyond The Headlines with Nifemi.
Responding to the construction of an airport in Ogun State, Gbenga Daniels said he had initiated the process and acquired the licence.
The former Governor said that the construction of the airport was the easiest of the tasks and that the major works had been completed.
He said, “Your Excellency, you will soon be a former governor, I will say your Excellency remember I came to you and said this young man that is following you everywhere will be the one to destroy your government, I don’t want to mention his name.
“I hope you have seen that all these troubles you didn’t need it, if you have done a few things right. Look at what is happening in Ekiti State, there are lines you don’t cross in this business.
“I have served the state with honor. If there is anything Dapo Abiodun is enjoying today it is our sweat. Yes he did the airport but that is the easiest part of the job, to award the contract, but the money was there
“When we were running up and down doing environmental assessment, jumping from place to place doing the design, buying the land, talking to stakeholders with little and no money.
“Everything’s done, we got the license, does he know what I went through to get that license? Does he know how many presidents I had to sit with to get the license?
“He came to say he does not know what to do and I said this is the license, you pick it and award the contract and you are making money from the contract you award, you are now gallivanting that you have done the airport. How?”
