African Democratic Congress (ADC) chairman Dele Momodu has cautioned politicians against letting their own ambitions drive them to hellfire.

The Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, was instructed by David Mark, the Interim National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), to cease commenting on behalf of INEC over the electronic transmission of election results. Momodu was responding to Mark’s comments.

Mark tasked the Senate and Akpabio with passing the legislation so that INEC could make the final decision about the electronic transmission of results.

Nigerians want results to be transmitted electronically, the former Senate President stated in an Abuja speech.

Momodu responded by writing on X: “We appreciate your creative intervention, sir, and our ADC Chairman, Brigadier General David Mark (rtd.).”

“My own recommendation to our politicians is to avoid being driven to hell fire by someone else’s selfish desire. Encourage open and transparent democratic principles and values.
