In response to Italy’s recent limits on LGBTQ+ parenting, Nollywood actress and singer Angela Okorie has responded.
According to reports, the Italian government recently passed laws that forbid homosexual and lesbian couples from having children, prohibit non-biological parents from being recorded on birth certificates, and make surrogacy overseas illegal.
In response, Angela expressed her support for the change on her Instagram story, calling same-sex parenting unacceptable and doubting the capacity of such couples to raise kids.
The single mother also connected her beliefs to her beliefs, advocating for what she called a “spiritual cleansing” against behaviors she believes to be immoral.
Same-sex couples are not acceptable, she wrote. To train children, they lack mental stability. In the name of Jesus, we proclaim global sanitation. Amen. All that foolishness has to end.
In other news, Nigerian comedian Adesokan Adedeji Emmanuel, better known online as Shank Comics, has responded to the resurfacing of his previous social media post supporting the convicted American rapper Diddy’s “mindset,” which caused significant reaction.
According to Naija News, Shank noted that the music mogul “got lost in the pursuit of power” and expressed admiration for Diddy’s “perspective to the grind” and adaptability in the previous post.
In a message on his 𝕏 Twitter amid the online uproar, Shank made it clear that he was not endorsing Diddy.
He said that the earlier social media post was a “misguided attempt” to allude to a movie villain.
