Several members of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) defected to the APC in the Dawakin Kudu Local Government Area of Kano State on Sunday under the supervision of Prof. Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, or APC.
This ceremony takes place before to Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf’s formal welcome rally for the party.
Both the new defectors and party loyalists supported President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for second terms in power during the event.
Using the occasion, a well-known native of the Dawakin Kudu/Warawa Federal Constituency openly urged Hon. Mustapha Bala Dawaki, the Chief of Staff to the APC National Chairman, to get back into politics and run for the Dawakin Kudu/Warawa House of Representatives seat.
