Unknown gunmen broke into the Akunza village during a traditional wedding celebration on Tuesday night, causing havoc in Ashige, a Migili-speaking residential neighborhood in the Lafia Local Government neighborhood of Nasarawa State.
It was discovered that the incident allegedly happened during the wedding celebrations, leaving locals terrified and mourning running for their lives.
At least three persons were killed in the attack, while several more suffered varied degrees of injuries, according to a community youth leader who confirmed the incident to Daily Post.
He revealed that children and women were among those hurt and are presently being treated at a medical facility.
The assault’s motivation is still unknown as of the time this report was filed.
