Bob-Manuel Udokwu, a veteran Nollywood actor, has spoken out following viral rumors that he passed away.
He was said to have admitted that his kids had discovered the bogus news before he did and promptly alerted him to it.
Speaking on the With Chude Podcast, Udokwu clarified that a doctored photo of his head resting on a hospital bed was part of the false claim.
According to the made-up narrative, he had died.
“I took some of my old photos, edited them, and put them on the body in the picture, then spread the story as if it were real,” he explained.
While Udokwu was frustrated by the circumstance, he also said that his children told him it would be best to overlook the false information rather than seek retribution by not going to the police or the DSS to find out where it came from.
His words were: “My kids came to tell me about the news since they saw it before I did.
They removed my head and put it on a body that was resting on a hospital bed. They put some of my old photos in the appropriate locations and claimed that I had passed away.
In order to discover the guilty party and hold them accountable, my kids, particularly my daughter, advised me against calling the police or the DSS. I should leave it alone, they told me.
