Due to his tense relationship with Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), former Deputy National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Bode George has been ridiculed by Dele Momodu, a leader of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

In a post made on his 𝕏 handle, Dele Momdu reportedly responded to a video interview in which George criticized former Vice President Atiku Abubakar.

During the Yoruba interview, George publicly criticized Atiku’s ongoing presidential campaign, emphasizing that he is prioritizing his own goals over those of the party.

“I am referring to Atiku Abubakar,” he said in response to a question about whether he was referring to Nyesom Wike. He is adamant about running for president on behalf of ADC. Let him have his way; it’s his problem. Doesn’t that explain why he initially left the PDP?

Dele Momodu responded by telling Bode George to stop harboring anti-Atiku feelings, saying the former vice president had a right to run for president.

The senior journalist also maintained that internal party strife brought on by Wike, whom Bode George had previously backed, had an impact on Atiku’s decision to quit the PDP.

He wrote, “Baba mi Sir, please rid yourself of anti-ATIKU sentiments. You know I love and respect you very much.” You have the right not to back him, Sir, but he has the right to run. ATIKU’s political aspirations have never been boasted to anyone. Not at all.

You once backed NYESOM WIKE, and before you joined the JONATHAN re-election campaign, you knew the PDP was going to fall under his oppressive control. I cried on the day that WIKE began insulting you while slapping you black and blue on TV. ATIKU is more clairvoyant now, sir. Freedom of choice and freedom of rejection at the polls are vital to democracy.
SIR, PLEASE LET ATIKU BREATHE.
