The Department of State Services, or DSS, has detained Abubakar Malami, the former Attorney-General of the Federation.
The former minister was taken by DSS operatives shortly after he was released from Kuje Prison and his bail requirements were fulfilled.
The former attorney general is reportedly the subject of a new investigation by the secret police.
It was reported that during a search, agents of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) found weapons at his country residence in Kebbi.
Recently, the former AGF claimed that the DSS was planning to re-arrest him from Kuje Prison.
On Wednesday, a Federal High Court granted ₦500 million bail to Malami, his wife, and his son, along with two sureties.
However, the former minister claimed that the DSS was monitoring him at the detention facility in an attempt to re-arrest him in a statement released by his Special Assistant on Media, Mohammed Bello Doka.
Despite having fulfilled his bail requirements, the former minister was reportedly apprehended by the secret police.
