Explosion Rocks Lagos After Fuel Tanker Crashes

In the Ikeja Along region of Lagos State, a tanker carrying Premium Motor Spirit, commonly referred to as gasoline, toppled and caught fire.

The gasoline tanker lost control and tumbled onto the road late on Wednesday night, February 11, 2026, according to reports.

The car overturned, spilling petrol all over the place, and a fire broke out soon after.

The local homeowners and drivers were terrified as the fire spread around the truck.

Emergency personnel arrived on the scene promptly to control the situation.

Traffic control and fire response were handled by Lagos State Traffic Management Authority officers and other rescue personnel.

In an effort to keep the fire contained, drivers were rerouted to avoid additional danger.

Relatively speaking, a commercial minibus caught fire on Tuesday, resulting in a deadly traffic disaster near Lagos’ Okota–Isolo route.

According to reports, eight individuals were injured in the incident, and two people died as a result.

A yellow commercial bus known as Faka, registered under the license plate SMK 823 YK, was engaged in the incident on February 10, 2026.

When the collision happened, the car was traveling toward Mile 2 in the Okota area along the Ballet inward route, according to information made public by the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority.
