On Wednesday night in Abuja, the All Progressives Congress, APC, Strategy, Conflict Resolution and Mobilization Committee convened for the first time.
Mala Buni, the governor of Yobe State and chairman of the committee, convened the gathering at the Yobe State Governor’s Lodge in Abuja.
Governors Hope Uzodimma (Imo), Siminalayi Fubara (Rivers), Hyacinth Alia (Benue), Sheriff Oborevwori (Delta), Uba Sani (Kaduna), and Biodun Oyebanji (Ekiti) were among those present.
Former Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello, Minister of State for Defense Bello Matawalle, Minister of Marine and Blue Economy Adegboyega Oyetola, Senator Kabiru Marafa, former APC National Legal Advisor Muiz Banire, and Ibrahim Masari, President Bola Tinubu’s Special Assistant on Political Affairs, were among those in attendance.
Committee members Umar Namadi (Jigawa), AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq (Kwara), and Bassey Otu (Cross River) were not present at the meeting.
Recall that on Wednesday, December 24, President Bola Tinubu established the committee with the goal of resolving internal disputes within the APC and bolstering the party’s national mobilization initiatives.
