Fulani Herdsmen Launch Attack on Man, Cause Property Damage in Bauchi

In Yelwan Ariri, Zaki Local Government Area, Bauchi State, a house was damaged and a man was hurt in an attack by alleged Fulani Herdsmen.

The alleged herders were from Guri LGA in Jigawa State, according to Zagazola Makama.

The attackers allegedly set fire to the home of another community member, Abba Ibrahim, and shot Garba Yahaya with an arrow at around 6:30 a.m. on Sunday.

Sources claim that Hon. Ibrahim Chiroma, the Deputy Chairman of Zaki LGA, promptly notified the Zaki Divisional Police Station. The herders fled as police officers were called to the area.

After being taken to General Hospital in Katagum, the wounded victim was admitted for medical attention.

It was learned that while the incident was being investigated, efforts were being made to capture the offenders.
