Adams Oshiomhole, the senator for Edo North in the National Assembly, has come under fire from All Progressives Congress (APC) leader Eze Chukwuemeka Eze for attacking Rotimi Amaechi, the former minister of transportation.
Recall that Oshiomhole referred to Amaechi as “the most terrible” and charged him with mishandling the train system while serving as a minister in an appearance with Channels Television’s “Politics Today” show.
Oshiomhole wondered why his own state, Rivers, had a train track but Amaechi had to build one to the Niger Republic.
Amaechi was also accused by the former governor of Edo State of closing down the Rivers judiciary in order to pick a biased person.
Eze, however, cautioned Oshiomole in a statement on Thursday to stop criticizing Amaechi and to concentrate on President Bola Tinubu’s egregious incompetence, which had caused the nation to plunge into chaos.
“Oshiomhole is one of those who, by their penchant, should be behind bars if the systems in Nigeria were working, but instead he’s serving as one of Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s puppet senators, just to evade prosecution,” he declared.
“Amaechi has no cockroaches concealed in his cupboard, so he speaks truth to power.”
“Therefore, when people like Amaechi are working patriotically to free the nation, people like Oshiomhole should bury their heads in shame.”
Speaking about the reason the judiciary was closed during the Amaechi administration, Eze claimed that the former governor’s action was brought about by the present Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister Nyesom Wike’s attempt to utilize parliamentarians to remove a sitting governor.
“That was when his friend Wike wanted to use five lawmakers to impeach a sitting governor in violation of the Federal Republic of Nigeria constitution,” he continued.
“Oshiomhole should go cover his face because he became the first National Chairman of a political party to be impeached due to his repugnant actions.”
