Nigerian celebrity chef Hilda Baci has added another remarkable achievement to her growing list of accolades, officially becoming a three-time Guinness World Record holder.

Her latest recognition comes after confirmation that her September 2025 feat also earned her the title for the largest serving of rice overall.

Baci had previously set the record for the largest serving of Nigerian-style jollof rice, preparing a staggering 8,780 kilograms (19,356 pounds) of the iconic dish during a massive Lagos cookout.

What she didn’t realize at the time was that the same effort also broke the record for the largest serving of rice, giving her an additional Guinness title months after the initial announcement.

Sharing the news on Instagram, Baci updated her bio to read: “Chef X3 Guinness World Record Holder” and wrote: “Woke up a three-time Guinness World Records holder and I’m still trying to wrap my head around it. What a way to step into 2026.”

The Guinness World Records team, through an email from Andrew Fanning, Head of Client Partnering – Records Creative Team, congratulated Baci, noting that her jollof rice record had simultaneously achieved another Guinness milestone.

“Congratulations, you are Officially Amazing (again)! When reviewing record guidelines, it became clear that your attempt at the largest serving of Nigerian-style jollof rice also set the record for the largest serving of rice,” Fanning wrote.

Baci admitted she was both surprised and overjoyed. “I was just going through my usual morning routine when I saw the email. I was shocked, happy, and completely caught off guard. Five months after the original record announcement, I was finding out there was more,” she said.

The chef emphasized that her success was a team effort, especially crediting @oreoluwa_atinmo, who collaborated with her from the planning stage to the cookout itself. “This record would not have been possible without her. From idea to execution, we were fully aligned. Sharing that moment with her made it all feel real,” Baci said.

Baci’s Guinness journey began in May 2023 when she set her first record for completing a 93-hour, 11-minute cooking marathon, making her Nigeria’s first chef to hold multiple Guinness World Records.

Reflecting on her achievements, Baci expressed gratitude to God, her team, and supporters. “God is faithful in ways that still surprise you. Even when you think you’ve seen the full picture, He can still say, ‘There’s more.’ To my team and everyone who believed in us, my heart is full. Still processing. Still grateful. Still in awe,” she shared.

With her third Guinness World Record now official, Hilda Baci continues to elevate Nigerian cuisine on the global stage, proving that ambition, skill, and collaboration can create world-record-breaking success.
