In a public statement, Nollywood actress Doris Ogala charged Nigerian politician Natasha Akpoti with fabricating testimony against Senate President Akpabio.
According to reports, the actress posted on social media that she had proof that Akpoti reportedly hired and recruited others to deceive the public and damage the senator’s name.
Doris claimed to have financial records, voice recordings, and other evidence that shows how people were purportedly coerced into making false statements.
She emphasized that her disclosures are meant to correct the record and that she has no intention of deceiving anyone.
The actress allegedly threatened to sue Akpoti if she refutes the allegations.
Doris Ogala and Natasha Akpoti’s disagreement is linked to past disputes, such as events surrounding Regina Daniels’ brother’s detention.
Doris noted that Akpoti did not behave as expected at that time, and the issue came up again after Akpoti accused Senator Akpabio of sexual harassment.
After a disagreement over seating arrangements intensified during plenary sessions, the Nigerian Senate suspended Akpoti-Uduaghan for six months for misconduct and violation of Senate regulations.
Senator Akpabio, not Akpoti, is the true victim in these disputes, according to Doris.
She claimed that the problem is a private affair between her and Akpoti, not an assault on the public, and she promised to make all evidence public.
The actress also cited instances in the past in which she opposed misconduct, emphasizing her resolve to expose deceit and manipulation wherever it takes place.
“Senator Natasha, you know what you did when we spoke on the phone regarding Regina Daniels’ brother’s case,” she wrote. Therefore, don’t even pretend that you are being attacked.
